Yellowstone Fire

This fire started in the Antelope Creek area below Mount Washburn as a result of a lightning strike. We watched it from the roadside between Tower Canyon and Chittenden Road. It was amazing the speed in which it spread and approached us. Apparently the National Park policy is to simply let fires burn themselves out unless they get out of control which this obviously was. It finally covered an area in excess of 3000 acres.
